86.4% getting a job, being in school, or both (51 out of 59 families) is Not Therapy's success rate when we work with the young adult and their parent(s). The study I referenced reported a 60% success rate (12 out of 20 families) where the young adult got a job, enrolled in school, or both, with *only* the parent(s) engaging in the process.
Tbh, if I were a parent, it would be super hard for me to practice these new behaviors with my kid without a consistent community of other parents trying to do the same thing who I could lean on for support. The education and behavior changes are things any parent can look up on the internet, but staying consistent in it requires a support system and community. At least for me that's always true!
